Busy Needle – finished as a pinkeep

I know, you’re all probably thinking that I don’t stitch any more, and while it may be true that I haven’t had a stitching post in a while, that doesn’t mean that stitching isn’t my first passion – I’ve just been waylaid with this web design stuff.

Busy Needle designed by Country Cottage Needleworks

I managed to drag myself away from the computer long enough to put together this cute little pinkeep. This is Little House Needleworks’ “Busy Needle”, finished as a pinkeep.

I used some checkered dupioni silk in browns and yellows for the back of the piece, and in keeping with the darling little bee, I trimmed it with black braid and gold headed pins.

This cute little bee button was the perfect finish for the top of the piece. Do you like?

  1. That’s very pretty and what perfect finishing – well done.
Incidentally, I love typing comments in this gorgeous pink font :-)

  2. That is so pretty! Great finish, and finishing!

  3. Oooo, fantastic finish! The black border really makes the design pop and the bee button is just too perfect. I love this curly pink font, too. =)

  4. Love it! I adore bees – that is very cute. I’m going to have to look for that chart. The finishing is great – I say yes to the bee button.

  5. Oh, this is truly lovely. Would you be willing to pass on the pattern? I would live to stitch this. Maybe we could do a trade?

    • Thanks for your visit, Danielle!

Sadly, I know no longer own the pattern – I gave it away in a giveaway a couple of years back – this is something that’s been in my “finishing” pile for a while – I stitched it a while ago, but never got the opportunity to “finish” it.

  6. Great finish and such a cute little bee button!

  7. How gorgeous! Love the bee especially as Melissah means honey bee in Greek!
